The first couture capsule collection to be launched by Olivia Torma Couture is a three piece ensemble comprising vintage inspired pants, blouse and waistcoat. The look is a fusion of fashion design elements drawn from Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco fashion. The pants are inspired by the beach pyjama fashions of the 1920’s and 1930’s, the blouse is inspired by the pin stitched lace blouses of the Edwardian era and the waistcoat is inspired by the fitted riding jackets of the Victorian era. Together the pieces create a capsule collection that is classic, nostalgic, romantic, confidant and timeless.
Each piece will be available in a variety of standard sizes and a range of fabric options. Leather is just one of the options planned for the waistcoat. Remnant European lambskin leather is our preferred choice as it reduces the surplus supply of materials produced for the fashion industry. Black leather is a highly desirable material for waistcoats and the perfect choice for an elegant evening look or smart casual day wear in cooler climates.
