What are the elements of a simple bespoke couture plan?
I love creating a simple bespoke couture plan for a project with a croquis sketch, photos of suggested fabrics and colour/pattern swatches. It gives my clients a snapshot impression of the design and the materials for their bespoke couture order. It’s one of the primary tools I use in putting together a comprehensive bespoke couture proposal.
Here is a simple bespoke couture plan I prepared for my Edwardian inspired blouse with pleated silk organza beach pyjama style pants. The mood is muted in hues of caramel and cream. The pleated silk organza has some stiffness to it as well and would give the pants a definite balloon silhouette and soft drape. The sheerness of the fabric would require a pair of full brief silk satin pants worn underneath. Comfort and luxury combined will make this a very luxurious outfit indeed.
